Christmas in July Challenge

Hiya Everyone  What a day I had yesterday lol The gas board are digging up our street and putting new gas mains in so My collie Ben had been a bit scared with all the drilling and banging anyway.

Then a massive Thunder Storm came and boy did I get a fright I have never seen Ben so Wild, so scared so destructive, I opened the cupboard his lead was kept in thinking that as myself and 'bens' Auntie Sharon our big sister had no luck in getting him calm we should put him on his lead easier controlled.. Ben decided to jump in the cupboard on top of the hoover , steamer, his food , candles etc and wreak the inside of everything in his attempt to dig a hole under the stairs poor wee lad. He was terrified and nothing we did consoled him so We just had to make him as 'safe' as possible and pretty much leave him.

Later I did manage some collie cuddles once the nasty storm disappeared only for it to make another appearance at night poor Ben has had a very stressful day and I can tell you I'm a bit frazzled with it too lol. Thankfully I did get some me time and managed to get my entry for this weeks I love Pro Markers Challenge which theme is Christmas in July done. I have been a bit snowed under with commissions and samples so It was left to the last minute and then my camera was not charged and I was panicking I'd miss the deadline lol but anyway after this ramble I hope you will like my card here it is.

Tip for today .. watered down PVA Glue is great for putting a glaze on decoupage and cheaper then some of the more expensive products on the market.

  1. Fab card Sharon, in spite of all the drama!!
Luckily my two have never really been bothered,
but my MIL's spaniel used to be terrified, like Ben, and to the point of destruction. We haven't had any storms yet, if we do I will be digging...I hate them!! xx

  2. Your Christmas Card is beautiful Sharon. I love the coloured paper and cute image. I understand what you went through with Ben. Tinkie is just us scared of thunderstorm and fire crackers. She goes crazy. My husband likely knows how to handle her. All of the best.
