Welcome to Funtastic Tips

Where crafty hacks meet cheeky laughs and every project gets a shot of sparkle straight to the heart. Whether you’re a glitter guru or a glue-stick rookie, you’ll find something here to make your crafty soul sing. So sharpen those pencils, fire up that creativity engine, and let’s make some mischief — because around here, ‘fun’ is non-negotiable!

1. Layer Like a Pro

Patience is a crafter’s best friend. When you’re layering stamps or inks, give each layer a chance to dry — I like to use my heat gun on low so the paper doesn’t get all wonky. Rushing it? That’s how you get smudges and frustration. Trust me, a little patience means your layers pop like magic.

2. Colour Pencil Magic

If you want your coloured pencils to sing over markers or inks, don’t go in heavy-handed. Build your colour in soft layers, kind of like layering a cosy jumper. Blend with a white pencil or a blending stump — it’s like the secret handshake of smooth, dreamy colouring.

3. Ink Smudge Fix

Oops! Got a smudge on your stamped image? Sprinkle a bit of baby powder over the wet ink and brush it off once dry. It’s like giving your project a little dusting of fairy dust to keep things tidy.

4. Mixed Media Balance

Mixing inks, paints, and gels is like hosting a party — start with your lightest guests first, then invite the bold ones in. It keeps everything harmonious and prevents your colours from having a messy argument on the page.

5. DIY Embossing

No embossing powder? No problem. Grab some clear glitter or even fine salt, sprinkle it over wet glue, and let it dry. You’ll have a sparkly, textured finish that says, “I’m fancy, but I made this myself.”

6. Upcycle Scrap Paper

Don’t toss those tiny scraps! They’re perfect for making cute tags, adding layers, or using as stencil masks. Waste not, want not — and your wallet will thank you.

7. Perfect Colour Palettes

Keep it simple with 3 or 4 colours per project. More than that and your card might throw a colour tantrum. A limited palette keeps things elegant and eye-catching.

8. Quick Fix for Wrinkled Paper

Paper got a bit excited and wrinkled itself? Lightly mist it with water, sandwich it between clean sheets, then press it under some heavy books overnight. By morning, you’ll have a flatter, happier canvas
