Crafty Present

End of another month can you believe it? Before long it will be Christmas Time , I guess I really should think about starting my cards. I always make my mother in law 50 religious cards, It is a real challenge to find religious themed products to use. If you know of any I would be very grateful for the information.

Anyone that reads my blog will know that we have decorated the whole house this year new carpets fitted and new doors as you can imagine with all Diy projects the main budget got spent and a amount was put on the credit card not something we like doing but it happened this year. Well I think of that as a debt I am old fashioned so we are going to clear it as soon as possible but are finding that with the increase on groceries it is not always easy to find the spare money each month.

With that being said I have had a lot of Birthday's and other occassions to give presents this year, so I decided to make my crafty stash work for me and handmade some cards and decorated a cheap hanging photo frame I found in a local discount store for Kevin's Cousin.

Here is what I made...

I got a telephone call from her yesterday and she seemed pleased that I had taken the time to make her the present instead of buying one so I am thinking if I get my creative head on and get busy making I could give some people packs of handmade cards with there Christmas Present after all most of us send cards and appreciate cards. It will help me use some stash and give me a reason to play so when Kevin goes back to work, He's on Holiday from today for two weeks I will get creative and put my Christmas Plan into action. I already gift my mother in law her 50 Cards so I'm going to be busy lol .

Have you ever used your hobby in this way or do you sell your cards?

 Thank you for stopping by.
  Have a great Weekend xxx

  1. Great idea Sharon. Like you I have hordes of cards. I do take some to work, from time to time, but always feel awkward about what to charge! I think I may take a leaf out of your book and give packs as gifts xx
