Covid making history

  Hiya everyone,

I just noticed I had not updated my blog, So I thought I’d tell you what’s been happening recently. The main thing I have to say is that I am very very blessed 2020 has been the most challenging year for us all. It is heart breaking to know how much sorrow and pain is filling the world right now. I certainly don’t want to dwell on the last few months I have personally had but just a quick insight, after losing my dear mother in law, Kevin and I got sick the week of the funeral it turned out I was covid positive,

I stayed home trying to deal with the horrible illness then things got really bad and I was blue lighted to hospital I did actually pass away that night but 15 wonderful talented kind men and woman saved me and I started a long stay in hospital, during my hospital stay Kevin was home battling his own illness and we both had very challenging covid journeys.

A few months on we are far from well but at least We are home together spending this Christmas chilling , eating rubbish and watching old films.

Our heart breaks for those that are suffering with sorrow losing people they love , the stress of being out of work etc but we don’t want to dwell on all the negative.

We have seen kindness and support for fellow humans this year and think that this year will go into the history books for all the wrong reasons but along with that We hope the right reasons will also be jotted down. The appreciation shown to our key workers with the the Thursday evening clap, The volunteers supporting shielding people putting themselves in harms way to support the very people that needed a hand bringing them food and medication etc. The lovely people that made the welfare telephone check ins to vulnerable shielders. The shop staff often being verbally abused for following the covid rules and trying to get us all tostada safe. The first minister for showing her human side, Too many to thank so I will just thank you all. Thank You.  A huge thank you to my friends and family your love, support and strength helped Kevin and I so much. So with that all said I’m going to wish you all a safe and happy happy Christmas. God bless.
